Jay Sapsford is host of ‘The Call,’ a weekly live video series on geopolitics, and Senior Vice President of the Chamber’s Global Intelligence Desk.

A former journalist, Sapsford brings over 20 years of experience reporting and editing in Tokyo, Beijing, and New York, writing extensively on the economy, finance, trade, industry, and security for the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Reuters.

Sapsford also previously served as the chief administrative officer for Japan at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for policy positions, communications, counter-party risk analysis, crisis management, advocacy, and project management. The son of missionaries, Sapsford was born in Yokohama, is married, with two adult children.
